All main flights are booked!

I have now finalised AND BOOKED the backbone of my trip. I am off on 12th May (yeaaah, that's very soon) and planning to be back home for Christmas.

First stop will be with friends in Dubai for a few days. I am much looking forward seeing them again as well as getting an "easy start" to my trip with people I know.

End May to mid July is dedicated for Southeast Asia. For the moment I have Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia on my mind - time will tell where I will really go to....

End of July I will be in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) for the 2009 World Games. For Tchoukball, one of the invitational sports taking part, it's a great opportunity to be part of such an important and international event.

On 1st August, I am attending a Sri Lankan wedding of friends. Participating in it will be a very special occasion which I am much looking forward to.

After that the plan is Australia (August - September), New Caledonia + Fidji in October and finishing off in South America. From Santiago de Chile to Guayaquil in Nov + Dec.

...this is the theory... reality will probably be very different...

What language?!

Soll ich auf Deutsch schreiben? Et mes amis francophones alors? Eller pa Svenska?

In the end, most of it will probably end up in English - apologies to all who would prefer receiving news in a different language... mais on peut peut-etre garder le contact par e-mail en français oder e-mails auf Deutsch austauschen?

Again, we'll see how it comes by doing it!

Getting started!

While progressing on the planning of my trip, one question I don't really know how to solve, is staying in touch with family and friends. Should I (i) disappear for 8 months (ii) e-mail people individually (iii) create mailing lists... not easy! This might be an option, but only time will tell if it will work....
